We are beyond thrilled that one of our Year 8 students, Riona Quinn, 8MK, has won the Irish News ‘Classroom of the Future’ competition, as part of the paper’s Young News Readers Critical Literacy Media Project!
Riona’s entry was placed 1st out of a huge number of applicants, and her efforts have awarded the school £1,000 to spend on technology in the classroom, kindly sponsored by Fujitsu!
Riona’s ideas about what a classroom in the future might look like showed a high degree of creativity and flair and she was commended by Claire McBride, Account Executive at Fujitsu, who looks forward to visiting St Ciaran’s to see how the educational resources purchased with the prize money will be out to good use by our students.
A huge well done to Riona, seen here being congratulated by her proud English teacher Miss Nugent and Assistant Principal, Mr Rodgers.
We are so delighted for you!
