Year 12 – Class of ‘23

Our Year 12 pupils enjoyed a chance to relax in the company of their friends! They were treated to light refreshments in the school canteen. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the "treats" baked and served by David and his staff. This was a fitting way to "chill" in the midst of exam preparation!

The day culminated with a beautiful "Mass of Thanksgiving" in the afternoon. This gave pupils, staff and parents an opportunity to reflect on the past five years and to pray for God's guidance throughout the exam period and in the months and years ahead.

Mr Lavery praised the Year 12 pupils for their achievements thus far and reminded them to take good care of themselves, both mentally and physically in the coming months. He also thanked their parents and the Year 12 pastoral team for their continuing support.

The celebrant, Fr Emlyn McGinn, praised the pupils for their diligent preparation and expressed his delight in returning to St Ciaran's, his former school. He concluded his homily by quoting from the inspirational verse: "The Power of One" - enabling all present to pause and believe that each one of us can make a positive difference to the lives of others.
