All Ireland Fleadh Success

We are delighted to share news of pupil success in the Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann. We are very proud all our students in their endeavours in music and dancing.


Both Tyrone and Ulster champions in the duet competition, this year Liam Óg Murray 9MS and Hannah Meegan 8CO, went on to be placed 2nd at the All Ireland Fleadh In Mullingar in August, playing the concertina and the fiddle.


Hannah is both Ulster and Tyrone champion in fiddle solo competition and Liam Óg is Tyrone champion and 2nd place at Ulster in his solo concertina competition.


Catriona McKenna 9MS who participated in the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, placing 2nd in the fiddle, 1st on the tin whistle for slow airs and 3rd on the tin whistle for a lively jig, representing the Ceoltóiri Corradinna group.

Lorcan O’Neill 9NW who saw similar success at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, playing the banjo with Dromore Ceolthas, who came first in the Tyrone fleadh and Ulster fleadh and placed 3rd at All-Ireland level.

Lucy Kate McIvor 9MS, who competed in the UDO Worlds Championship after taking 2nd place in the under 14 Novice rounds. Lucy Kate finished the competition with placing 5th in Solo, 1st in Duo, 5th in Quads and finally coming 3rd in Crew. Lucy Kate is a very successful student of the Dance Revelation school in Omagh.
