St Ciarans College had 3 groups who took part in this year's BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition. They made the journey down to the RDS in Dublin to present their innovative ideas. Being selected to showcase at the event is a major achievement.
Joseph Clarke, Matthew McVeigh and Killian McNelis are presenting the Automatic Data Collection (ADC) Trough.
James McGinley, Fionn McCaughey and James Hurson are presenting the Smart and Sustainable Irrigation System.
Eimear Boyle, Caitlin O'Hanlon and Eva Lynch are presenting their study on Green Hydrogen Production.
The opening ceremony featured President, Michael D Higgins, as an honoured guest and the judging kicked off shortly afterwards.
We are very proud of all the students and the Science and Technology departments. One of our groups received a ‘highly commended’ rosette and another got a special mention in the Irish Independent which you can read here.
