Cross Country

District E Cross-Country

Well done to all our students who competed in last week’s Cross Country Championships in Necarne, Irvinestown. In tough conditions, the students excelled and can be very proud of their performance!

A special shoutout to individual medal winners Alice Rafferty coming 1st in the Mini girls’ race and Annaleigh McKenna finishing 2nd in the Intermediate girls race. The girls now look forward to the Ulster Championships in Mallusk on February 18th.

There was also a Top 15 finish and Ulster qualification for:

Chloe McKenna (8th in Mini girls)

James Hughes (10th in Mini boys)

Kayla Magill (11th in Minor girls)

Megan McElvogue (14th in Minor girls)

Alex Harte (10th in Junior girls)

Lily Mae Mullin (13th in Junior girls)

Kealan Donnelly (4th in Junior boys)

The Minor girls (Yr9) and Junior girls (Yr10) teams both finished 3rd overall and progress to Ulster’s.

A special mention must also go to the many students who have joined the after school running club and competed in their first competitive race. We are very proud of you all!
