The 9th of September marks a special day in our school calendar. Today, we celebrate the feast day of St Ciaran, and to mark the occasion our new Year 8 pupils were presented with their finger rosaries by principal Mr Lavery.
The tradition of presenting Year 8 pupils with their rosary is to remind them of the school’s motto, 'Fortis in Fide' (strong in faith) and that God will walk with them in their journey through their school years.
We hope all of our pupils will remind themselves of St Ciaran’s key values of hospitality, compassion, creativity and persistence for the school year ahead.
