Nugent Engineering paired up with a group of St Ciarans Ballygawley students to complete an engineering project of designing and manufacturing flower planters to provide students with the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the processes involved, from the design brief to final product.
Students worked alongside Leigh (Operations Director) and our Engineering department to develop their skills in Solidworks modelling and to gain hands-on practical experience during their tour around Nugent.
The result? Two very different, innovative designs, and students with advanced skills and techniques.
Take a look for yourself: some of the proud students with their finished products.
Thanks to MEGA- Manufacturing & Engineering Growth & Advancement who set up this project to engage local students with local companies and put learned theory into practice.
