SCC Class of 23

Our Year 14 pupils said their final goodbyes to St Ciaran’s on Wednesday 10th May. The day began with some treats supplied by David and his team in the canteen.

Later on, pupils moved on to their Leavers Mass, held in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballygawley.

The theme of mass was “togetherness”, which has been a hugely important aspect of our pupils’ school-life. Over 8000 hours of their lives have been spent together in St Ciaran’s College. Our Head Girl, Katie-Rois McCann provided the welcome for the mass and summed it up perfectly, “When our new lives force us apart, we will remain together by the memories we have made”. As the mass drew to a close, Deputy Head Girl, Ellen McGirr, offered the following words of encouragement to her fellow pupils in the Communion Reflection: “Finishing school, we face the unknown, with newfound strength, our knowledge has grown, with open hearts, we’ll journey far, pursuing dreams, we’ll reach the stars”.

We will miss our Year 14 pupils dearly, and we wish them all the best in their upcoming exams and in the different paths in life they will tae.
