Year 8 Eco-Innovator:    Lily's Biodegradable Bottle Shines at SciFest 2024

Lily, a Year 8 student from St Ciarans Ballygawley, recently made an impressive debut at the SciFest@College 2024 event, held at St Mary's College in Derry. Driven by a strong concern for the environment and the growing issue of plastic pollution, Lily set her sights on creating a solution. She designed and developed an innovative biodegradable bottle, showcasing her creativity and commitment to sustainability. Her project not only highlighted her passion for environmental protection but also demonstrated a remarkable level of scientific thinking for someone so early in their academic journey.
