Our Year 8 students had an engaging day out learning beyond the classroom at Carrickfergus Castle and Parliament Buildings – made possible through Shared Education. It has been a fantastic learning experience shared with Fivemiletown College.

Our students showed great promise as future leaders, demonstrated through their articulate and thoughtful debate on school uniforms in the chamber today. A sincere thank you to the Education Officers at Stormont and the tour guides at Carrickfergus Castle for their engaging and informative sessions. We were also delighted to be welcomed by Sinn Féin MLA Colm Gildernew, who led an insightful and enjoyable Q&A with our Year 8 pupils.
A memorable and inspiring day for all involved!

The tours inspired curiosity, encouraged thoughtful questions, and helped bring both the past and present to life.
A big Thank you to, Jo our tour guide who was very knowledgeable and informative. It was a thoroughly enjoyable trip!
